"Pearl of the Andaman"....
Phuket is now back & better than ever for those who seek a perfect tropical holiday, beautiful white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and swaying palm trees.
There are a lot activities that can bee done such as; sea canoeing through dramatic limestone of Phang-Nga Bay, elephant riding, island hopping, or just simply unplugging yourself in hideaway places, and relaxing with a soothing massage.
Patong Beach is the most popular area with an endless choice of restaurants, bars, shopping centres and pulsating nightlife. The bustling streets, neon lights and chaotic atmosphere of Patong can be overwhelming for new comers but those who like to be in the centre of everything might enjoy it more.
Laguna Phuket near Bang Tao Bay offers one destination with five experiences. The five laguna resorts share 600 acres of tropical parkland dotted with sparkling lagoons and other facilities - perfect for a family getaway, and honeymooners who enjoy a quieter place. Alternatively you can drive 10-15 minutes south to Karon/Kata, each with spectacular beaches, great restaurants and shopping, yet not as busy as Patong. Coral Island, Phi Phi Island and Koh Chang will be other options for an island escape.
Krabi is and emerging destination and is commendable alternative to the busier Phuket. Located on the inner Andaman Coast is has a new airport with direct air services from both Bangkok and Singapore and is a picturesque 3 hour drive from most Phuket hotels. Krabi offers one of the most amazing seascapes and landscapes to be found anywhere in the world.
Krabi town itself is the trading and commercial capital of the province and most people head for the beaches and national parks of Ao Nang about 20 minutes away. The region prides itself on the long stretches of uncrowded, pristine soft white sand beaches on nearby islands and boasts a wide selection of activities including rock climbing, snorkelling, sea kayaking and fishing. Using the ferry service from Krabi is also a great way of getting to Phi Phi Island.
