Tahiti and Her Islands... Ia orana and welcome...
Tahiti - a word that evokes images of lush tropical landscapes; of crystal clear azure lagoons surrounded by soaring volcanic peaks; of love and romance; of fierce warriors and gentle goddesses. They are the islands of myths, legends and dreams.
Tahiti and Her Islands are made up of 118 islands stretching across 4 million square kilometres of the South Pacific Ocean, the same area as Europe. Tahiti is the largest island within French Polynesia. Papeete, the capital of Tahiti, offers numerous treasures: the colourful market, art and history, animated nightlife, dancing, singing and so much more.
Moorea is the second largest island in the Society Islands. Moorea is only 17 kilometres from the island of Tahiti. The island is surrounded by a spectacular, translucent green lagoon and colourful coral reefs. Rugged volcano peaks are covered in lush, dense rainforest and the interior of the island is dotted with pineapple plantations and vanilla farms.
The name Bora Bora conj ours up romantic images: shimmering turquoise water, gently lapping water beneath the stilts of your luxurious overwater bungalow, brilliant sunsets, postcard perfect views, swaying palm trees and dark mountain peaks. If there was ever a heaven on earth, it's Bora Bora.
