The UAE has a sub-tropical, arid climate. Rainfall is infrequent and irregular. Falling mainly in winter, it amounts to some 13 centimeters a year.
Temperatures range from a low of about 10 degrees Celsius to a high of 48 degrees Celsius. The mean daily maximum is 24 degrees in January rising to 41 degrees in July.

Mall of the Emirates
Set to take over the quiet area of Al Barsha, this mall will
house a huge indoor ski resort (using real snow), a hotel,
a 14 screen multiplex cinema and a myriad of shops and food outlets.
The Palms Island
Visible from outer space, these palm-shaped islands (off the coast of Jumeira, Jebel Ali and Deira) are the largest man-made islands to date, and will be a sought-after destination for tourists and residents.
The World
Nakheel is heading this $1.8 billion project to create 300 individual islands, which will collectively resemble the shape of the world. Built four kilometers offshore, each island
will be sold to private developers to turn into exclusive water resorts.
HIGHLIGHTS
Burj Al Arab
Burj Al Arab is a part of The Jumeirah Beach Resort, situated 17km south of the city of Dubai. It is designed to resemble a billowing sail; the hotel soars to a height of 321 metres, dominating the Dubai coastline.
At night, it offers an unforgettable sight, surrounded by choreographed color sculptures of water and fire. This all-suite hotel reflects the finest that the world has to offer.

Language
The official language is Arabic but English is widely spoken and understood.
Religion
Islam is the official religion of the UAE and there are a large number of mosques throughout the city.
Tips
-Do not sit in such a way that the soles of your feet are pointing at someone else.
-In Ramadan, never eat, drink or smoke in public during daylight hours.
-Do not take photographs of military installations or national women.
-Never drink alcohol in public.
