Penang - Pearl of the Orient
Known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’ Penang is a tropical island offering more than just relaxation. Georgetown offers an historic ‘colonial feel’ with its British colonial architecture, Chinese shop houses & interesting buildings that can be found on the heritage trail.
The north of the island is where you will find the beach town area of Batu Ferringhi. Relax in one of the beach side resorts, shop for a bargain at the night markets or why not try the local cuisine at one of the many Hawkers style food stalls.
With a variety of culture, history, nature, cuisine and much more, do a lot or as little as you like.
