Weather on all the Hawaiian Islands is fairly stable all year round. There are only 2 seasons" the summer months (called Kau) May to October and the winter months (Ho'oilo) November to April

OAHU

Oahu is Australia’s gateway to the Hawaiian Islands, aptly named ‘The Gathering Place’. The state capital Honolulu and its famed Waikiki Beach, blessed with good weather, beautiful beach and friendly locals, have captured so many visitors’ affection. Head to the beach and surf, ride a wave on an outrigger canoe or how about just relax by the white sandy beach? Shoppers can also find paradise at Ala Moana or Royal Hawaiian shopping centres or the boutique shops that line Kaiulani and Kuhio Avenue. In the evening Waikiki starts off with a nightly torch ceremony; international cuisines showcase some of the best chef’s and nightlife entertainment with plenty to choose from.

Explore Oahu’s other exciting attractions: take a historical look at Pearl Harbour; visit the only royal palace in the United States Iolani Palace; snorkel in Haunama Bay amongst hundreds of colourful fish and other sea creatures; hike the dormant Diamond Head volcano crater and discover some of the best surfing beaches in the world on the north side of the island.

MAUI

Spectacular sunsets, white sandy beaches, whale watching, cascading waterfalls: examples of what makes Maui an alluring island. Despite its size, Maui is a big playground: you can bike down to Mt. Haleakala at sunrise, sail to Lanai, snorkel in the submerged volcano crater of Molokini, return to the old Hawaiian way of life at the Heavenly Hana, which is lavished with rainforests, blow holes and black sand beaches.

Maui’s small island has created a piece of paradise in each area. Lahaina, once a whaling village, is now a charming tourist town. North of West Maui, Napili’s draw is its secluded bay an low-key environment whilst the better known Kaanapali has garnered many travel awards for it beach and has sweeping views of Lanai and Molokai. Kihei, in South Maui, welcomes constant sunshine, miles of white sandy beaches and abundant water activities; further south is Wailwa with its luxury accommodation and an array of activities: championship golf courses, tennis and golden sand beaches.

KAUAI

Kauai, ‘the Garden Isle” is famed for its diverse and scenic wonders as well as its laidback atmosphere. Witness the 40 foot thundering Opaekaa Falls, one of the 100 waterfalls in Kauai; hike through tropical vegetation or the numerous trails in Waimea Canyon (the Grand Canyon of the Pacific); take a cruise or a helicopter to Na Pali Coast, the sheer, towering cliffs; go snorkelling, diving or horseback riding. With so much natural beauty, it is no surprise that Kauai has been used as a film location for many movies including: Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Elvis’ Blue Hawaii.

Kauai’s other distinction is its accommodation, which is built no taller than the coconut trees, harmonising with the tropical surroundings. There are three well-known lodging areas. Wailua area (Kapaa and Lihue) is central making it ideal to get around the island. Poipu located in the south is considered the sunny side with wide, sandy beaches whilst Princeville has green mountains as a backdrop and beaches with gentle waves.

HAWAII "The Big Island"

The largest and the least populated of the Hawaiian archipelago, Hawaii – also known as the Big Island – is still growing everyday as its active volcano, Kilauwa sends lava down to the ocean 4000 feet below in an awesome display of nature’s majesty. With its sheer size, the island presents amazing contrasts: massive black lava fields, ancient temples, snow-capped Mauna Loa, rainforests, coffee plantations and uncrowded beaches.

The West Coast with more sunshine is a popular choice for accommodation, which are usually clustered in pocket communities. Kona is the biggest town on the Island with many restaurants and shops. Keauhou, south of Kona was an important Hawaiian settlement site and has one of the island’s best snorkelling spots where sea turtles come in to feed during high tide. Waikoloa/Kohala Coast to the north offers spectacular resorts and brilliantly green golf courses carved out of the black volcanic rock.

MOLOKAI & LANAI

MOLOKAI
Molokai is known for it’s white sandy beaches and untouched wilderness, The island is the perfect place for ultimate relaxation and the fifth largest of the Hawaiian Islands

LANAI
Lanai is an exclusive island making it the perfect getaway for relaxation, rediscovery and romance. The sixth largest of the Hawaiian islands offers crystal clear water, golf and a wide range of activities.
