Benvenuto in Italia...
Welcome to Italy!
Italy, a unique country of contrasts, is crammed from top to toe
with the good things in life… Rome, the “Eternal City” built on
seven hills and filled with relics of an ancient and glorious past.
Florence, surrounded by the hills of Tuscany, with its magnificent
Duomo and wealth of paintings and sculptures. Venice, a city
built on water with a history spanning a thousand years, that
casts a spell on everyone who visits it. Milan, Italy’s business and
cultural capital and one of the world’s top fashion cities, with an
awe-inspiring Gothic Cathedral.
And away from the cities, there is some of the most romantic scenery in the world.
The spectacular coastlines of Amalfi and the Italian Riviera contrast with the golden
beaches of the Adriatic, and the rolling hills and timeless medieval towns of the centre
where lovely old buildings and ancient monuments live side by side with bustling
shops and markets.
All this is brought vividly to life by the Italian people with their natural warmth and
zest for life. Italy – home of the cappuccino, pizza, pasta and La Dolce Vita!
