Ocean breeze

For a romantic stroll, take the one-kilometre Via dell’Amore (Lovers’ Lane), which links two of Cinque Terre’s villages, Manarola and Riomaggiore. A stunning cliffside trail, there are stone benches built into the cliffs from which you can enjoy the breathtaking ocean views.

Walk the trail

To walk this, or any of the stunning sections along the popular 11-kilometre ‘Blue route’, or the trail from Riomaggiore to Monterosso, ‘Path No. 2’, you’ll need to purchase a Cinque Terre Pass for €3 at the entrance to the path, tourist offices or the train station. Walks on the ‘Red route’ are free. The entire trail, ‘Blue route’, takes approximately 5 hours to walk, although there are so many beautiful views along the way, it may take a little longer.
