Relax on the beach

Stunning beaches surround both the islands. On Koh Yao Yai, head to Hat Lo Paa Raet or Hat Tiikut, idyllic stretches of sand lined with coconut palms and casuarina trees. Koh Yao Noi offers Hat Tha Khao and Hat Pa Sai – beautiful beaches and great places to take a mountain bike and explore the islands many dirt trails.

Paddle the Bay

Often compared to Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay, Phang-Nga Bay is a jewel not to be missed. Take to the water to explore the sensational limestone islets formed over many centuries in the idyllic waters. Some of the islets have been further eroded to form hidden lagoons, which can only be accessed at certain times of the day, depending on the tide. The best way to get up close is to hire a kayak and get paddling.
