Karon and Kata beaches, just south of Patong, offer a more laid-back vibe with gorgeous palm-lined beaches, enticing waters, a diverse range of on- and off-shore activities and a great selection of welcoming restaurants. Three Beach Hill, a viewpoint just five minutes south of Kata by car or motorbike, offers panoramic views including the beaches of Kata Noi, Kata and Karon, which give it its name, as well as a wide stretch of the Andaman Sea.
